Introduction

Department of Anatomy at Kyungpook National University School of Medicine has performed not only the medical education for the medical school student but also the translational research under the following doctrine ¡°Morphological features are closely related with specific, physiological functions¡±

Curriculum subjects those are essential to basic medicine include human anatomy and medical histology to learn the gross as well as microscopic structure, Human embryology to provide a basic understanding of human development and its clinical relevance, At the same time, human neuroscience to learn the gross anatomy and internal structure of the brain and the spinal cord.

Research themes supported by various government funds include the pain mechanism, early development, cancer epigenetics, kidney injury, autistic spectrum disorder, and stem cell heterogeneity.
